Racing
Equipment Stolen on Way to PRI Sprint and Midget
Classic
12-12-06 - Breanna Lopez is the 2005 WMRA rookie of
the year and was 4th in National Design 500 rookie of the year standings. This
young dynamo has two Grand National Championships, four Winter National
Championships and two Regional Championships.
Breanna Lopez and the 25 team were on their way to Orlando,
Florida for the PRI Sprint and Midget Classic when
they stopped outside of Kansas City, Missouri on December 10th at a
hotel to sleep for the night.
When they got up around 6 am and walked outside,
everything was gone. Their truck was a Black 2005 Dodge Ram and the trailer was
a white Exiss with two big decals on the back one is a WMRA logo and one is a
Red Line Oil decal.
Every single piece of the racing operation was in
that trailer. The Chassis was a red powder coated 2005 Beast, with black carbon
fiber panels. The motor is an Esslinger. The tool box with all of their tools,
shocks and springs, wheels and tires, quad, spare axels, rear ends and all of
Brea’s safety equipment are gone.
“Everything is gone. They
stole our race car, all our equipment, my Championship Jacket; everything I need
to race is gone. I am at such a loss. I hope if any fans see or know of
anything, they will let us know.” Commented Breanna Lopez

Pack
Scores Top 20 in First Championship Race
JENNERSTOWN,
PA (Oct 4th, 2006) - JJ Pack and the Packs Racing team arrived in Jennerstown, PA for the Charlie
Campbell Memorial Miller Lite 250 feeling confident.
In practice the 16N UMG Financial Chevy was fast. During the last session of
practice the rear end gave out. The car was sent back to the shop in
Fredericksburg, VA and a replacement was brought in. With the limited practice
on Saturday that the team received from going to a back up car, JJ struggled as
the lap times went up.
Donny Miller, crew chief of the UMG Financial Chevy, found the issue and
corrected it before qualifying. JJ went out to qualify but brushed the wall
coming off of turn 4 slowing down his lap time. JJ qualified 36th with a time
of 19.851.
As the race progressed the car seemed to get better and better. The race was
called due to rain at lap 49. During that short amount of time, JJ pushed the
16N car up to 19th place. When the race continued on Sunday, JJ got tangled up
with the 72N car Gary St. Amant on lap 95. Both spun to bring out the caution
but fortunately neither car was damaged.
"I just drove the car in too hard, it got loose and unfortunately got into Gary"
said JJ. Even with the spin the UMG Financial Chevy managed to finish 16th.
"We are pleased to have this finish, it is good for the team, we are ready to
do it again at Mansfield." says Greg Nosar, owner of Packs Racing.
