Feeling Under the Weather Davin Scites Rallies to Finish 7^th

Radford, VA (4-17-05) –   What do you do when you have the flu and your racked with body aches and feeling just miserable?  Well if your Davin Scites a native of West Virginia, you pack up and go racing.   

Davin Scites headed to The Motor Mile to compete in the Southern Printing 150 Saturday night at Virginia's Finest 4/10 Mile Paved Oval.

Davin Scites had made changes to his car after his latest finish in the Doughton Race Products 300 in March.  “I went there looking for something that the car needs.   I’m missing something and I can’t quite figure it out.” Commented Scites.

Davin Scites admits that qualifying is something that he needs to work on.  “Qualifying is something that I am working on to be better at.”  Davin qualified 16th picking up two tenths from practice.  “I knew in qualifying that we would race better then we qualified.  And Davin was right. 

“I don’t know if it was the track or the car but it was so tight from the center off of the corner.  At this track it is so hard to pass.”   But Davin Scites came up through the field to finish 7th.

“We went there looking for something that the car needs.  It wasn’t what we were looking but we keep gaining on it.  We had a better car then where we finished, but we will take it and hopefully learn what we are missing.  We will keep digging for it until we get it.”
