Davin Scites Back in the Seat As he Prepares To Run the ARCA ReMax Chicagoland Race With ST2 Motorsports

Mooresville, NC (8-29-05) -  Davin Scites, a native of West Virginia, is teaming up with ST2 Motorsports , the all new Tennessee based driver development  team in the ARCA RE/MAX Series to run the ARCA Remax Chicagoland Race that will be shown live on Speed Channel.

Davin’s track record dates back to when he was 10 years old.  That’s when he began racing go-karts and achieving a considerable amount of success. Before graduating to Legend cars at 16, Scites accumulated numerous wins in his local ‘Mountaineer’ area.  "My passion for Racing developed early, my dad Jack Scites began racing at a early age as well and I grew up being around the sport and as I grew older realized the love I had for the sport.” Davin’s first race was Ona, West Virginia where he won that night. 

The awards continued as Scites progressed through the ranks.  Competing in the Legend Car series and then making his way as a regular competitor in the NASCAR weekly Racing series, Davin realized this was how he wanted to make a living, and that was behind the wheel of a Race Car.  

He began driving five hours each way to the Carolinas to compete in NASCAR Late Model Stocks at various tracks in the south. “Late Models taught me a lot going to big races at Myrtle Beach, Martinsville, New River Valley and many other tracks.”    

In 2000 he ran a limited schedule for two seasons in ASA.   In 2003 Davin Scites ran a full schedule becoming the only Rookie to win a race in ASA in the  2003 season.  “It was awesome to win my first race my first full season in ASA”. Scites said.  

Now back to the present.  After some impressive runs, Davin is ready to move up in the ranks.  

I’m very excited to have this opportunity to run the ARCA Chicagoland race on September 10^th, which will be televised live, on Speed Channel.  We are getting ready to head to the track to do testing.”

“I feel this is a great opportunity for me to get experience on the bigger tracks that are in the NASCAR series.  We are working on acquiring the sponsorship that we will need to fund this race.  It is so much more of a commitment when you move into the upper series.” Commented Davin.    

This is a stepping-stone for Davin to get him ready for the 2006 season.  The opportunity exists for Davin Scites to be able to run full time next year in the Craftsman Truck Series and the Busch Series.
