Jason Vieau and MVP Motorsports a Force to Be Reckoned With

Jason Vieau and MVP Motorsports are two names that you will come to hear a lot.  At the young age of 22 Jason has already established a path to success.  Jason started his racing career early.  At the age of eight he competed in the WKA sanctioned Karting series on dirt and asphalt tracks.  Over the next seven years Jason continued to race and win in the Karting series.  At sixteen he attended the Finish Line Racing School a short track school designed to prepare a driver for the jump into a 3,100 pound stock car.

The next five years Jason competed at many of the toughest short tracks in the southeast, where he developed into one of the most talented young driver in the region while earning the respect of the stock car community.  During this time he furthered his experience and driving skills by instructing at the top racing schools in the country.

While Jason was being an instructor he was also accumulating thousands of miles at NASCAR’s’ most premiered speedways.  Jason has worked as both a test and promotional driver for Ford and Nissan.  As a test driver he has helped develop many of the street cars on the road today.    Jason didn’t stop there.  Jason has gained extensive knowledge on the technical side of the racecar as well.  He has worked with several Winston Cup and Busch series teams on set-up and trouble shooting stock cars.  He has also worked many hours with his father, Mark Vieau, in the engine shops of many of the top Winston Cup Teams.   This has only enhanced his driving experience.

In 1997 Mark Vieau took all his winning knowledge and talent and formed MVP Motorsports competing in the NASCAR Winston Racing Series with this son Jason.  Mark Vieau of Mark Vieau Performance (MVP) Motorsports is a new racing organization with a wealth of history and success.  Owner Mark Vieau has been in racing and winning for over twenty-five years. He is a well known engine builder in the NASCAR circuit. His resume reads like a who’s who list of NASCARS most talented top drivers.  He has built engines for Jeff Gordon, Bill Elliott, Kenny Wallace, and Davey Allison just to name a few.

In 2001 Jason made his ARCA Remax speedway debut at Lowe’s Motor Speedway qualifying at an amazing seventh. Forced to the back of the field after a blown engine he started 40th and within the first 6 laps of the race he showed his drive and determination as he went from 40th position to 11th proving that he was no ordinary rookie!
